A great Organ Player 1930-2002
The most famous organ player in Mexico. He recorded 76 albums! this is really a great success!. The 7 first ones were played at a Hammond model B3 and the others at the Hammond model X-66. He started his professional musical studies with classical music at the organ and at the piano, people was amazed of his special talent since he was a child.

During his long carrier he got several Gold Records because of the high sales of his recordings. During his greatest days, his schedule was plenty full of agreements to play in concerts, in parties, and in alive shows with his very own style at the electronic organ. One of his particular characteristics was to play all kinds of music at the X-66 including classical, Christmas and Popular music. He was honored to play to very important people like politicians, intellectuals and artists. He also gave concerts and alive shows in Chicago, USA to the Latin community, Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal.

Unfortunately he passed away on July 2002 in Querétaro México, where he lived many many years with his wife and five children. On December 2002, a group of 9 very close organists friends of him, offered a very special homage at a huge Auditorium where they played Juan Torres’ music at the X-66 and 40 musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Querétaro, this concert was really great!. The homage started showing at a two huge screens some videos with regard to Juan’s best moments and along the concert they also were telling important passages of his artistic life. Even, they recorded a Tribute Album with all the songs they played at the concert. We will miss him a lot, he was a great musician!
